Evaluating and Supervising NPI Can Be Learned

The scientific validation of NPI cards shared in the NPIS Registry requires rigorous studies following the consensus-based evaluation framework, the NPIS Model. Designing, conducting, and promoting these studies requires specific skills. The NPIS Training Department has developed the Science Core, consisting of three levels: knowledge, skills, and interpersonal skills specific to NPI research. The acquisition of this knowledge and skills is certified by an international certificate called the Open Badge Science. It is obtained after completing initial or continuing training and passing an online questionnaire. Equivalency can be obtained upon application.

Target audiences:

The training courses are aimed at anyone interested in research in NPI.

Training Content:

Training content for specific research skills in NPI is standardized and updated annually. A trainers' meeting is held annually during the NPIS Summit.
