Isabel Santos is a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and holds a doctorate in Medical Sciences. Drawing on experience gained in both Portugal and France, she has held hospital positions in several rehabilitation facilities, where she has developed expertise in the management of chronic diseases, neurological conditions, rheumatic disorders and functional rehabilitation.
As a researcher at the Aix-les-Bains Centre for Rheumatology and Thermal Medicine Research, she contributes to the development of clinical research projects focusing in particular on rheumatoid arthritis, thermal medicine and non-pharmacological interventions. Deeply committed to education and knowledge dissemination, she regularly provides training to healthcare professionals, contributes to the organisation of scientific conferences, and is the author of numerous publications as well as a book on rehabilitation for rheumatoid arthritis.
