Gianni Franco is a neurologist and a leading advocate for the prevention and management of brain disorders. Former Head of the Neurology Department at CHU UCL Namur-Dinant, he has been practising in Belgium for more than thirty years and promotes an integrative approach to health combining prevention, early diagnosis, interdisciplinary care, and the active involvement of patients and their families. He also teaches neuropathology at the Haute École de Namur-Liège-Luxembourg and collaborates with the University of Liège.

Deeply involved in scientific and non-profit organisations, he chairs Ensemble pour le Cerveau – Together for the Brain as well as the French-speaking Belgian Parkinson’s Association, and serves as Vice-President of the Belgian Brain Council. As International Development Coordinator at NPIS, he contributes to expanding the scientific society’s presence across five continents and promotes the development of evidence-based non-pharmacological interventions to support predictive, preventive, personalised and participatory medicine.
