Frédéric Bloch is a Professor of Medicine and Hospital Practitioner at Amiens-Picardie University Hospital, where he heads the Geriatrics Department and coordinates the regional geriatric care pathway. A geriatrician with an Accreditation to Supervise Research (HDR), his research focuses on the prevention of frailty, falls and neurocognitive disorders, as well as on the organisation of care pathways for older adults.
Recognised for his expertise in geriatrics, he develops innovative approaches combining clinical research, health technologies and non-pharmacological interventions to improve older adults’ quality of life and independence. He is also deeply involved in the education and training of healthcare professionals, coordinating geriatric education at the University of Picardie Jules Verne and directing several university diploma programmes.
Author of more than 70 international scientific publications, he actively contributes to advancing geriatric practices and developing evidence-based solutions to support healthy ageing.
