After scientific studies, Michel Noguès joined the French Social Security system as a statistician. His career led him to the position of Deputy Director of Carsat Montpellier. Given his acquired expertise in the field of preventing the effects of aging, the national organizations Cnam and Cnav have entrusted him with a national role as project manager on the topics of social action and identifying the fragility of seniors. At the same time, he has served as an administrator and lecturer at the Center for Advanced Studies in Hospital Economics and Management at the University of Montpellier. He participated in the European SUNFRAIL project as a WP leader. He is the founder of the Montpellier Regional Institute of Aging. Today, his involvement in several associations and his ties with the Universities of Montreal and Sherbrooke in Canada position him as a recognized figure in the field of "social prevention," the concept of which he has developed in several publications.
